How the Preferred Marketing System Works
Advertising: Philadelphia Preferred is investing more than $20,000 per month in local radio on WNTP & WFIL as well as each of their individual radio streaming stations, internet, e-mail and much more to reach hundreds of thousands of Philadelphia residents. This tremendous promotional support of Philadelphia Preferred will produce excitement and recognition of the program and all the businesses involved. Voting: A real value of Philadelphia Preferred is the voting element. Local Philadelphia area residents are invited to vote for their best merchant or retailer in over 100 product categories as indicated in directory listings. Thousands of people will be voting for the Philadelphia Preferred business and your company should definitely be highlighted here.Voting occurs daily and businesses can check how well they are doing and how their competition is doing which is the equivalent of an ongoing marketing survey being done in real time.
Shopper Rewards: The $1000 prize package provides an incentive to keep consumers coming back online often to vote and use Philadelphia Preferred merchants. The shopping spree registration also creates an opt-in e-mail list of shoppers for ongoing communication. Shoppers also regularly check the site for special offers from their favorite merchants or an incentive offer to try a new business.
Merchant Awards: All businesses involved will receive a colorful window decal display showing patrons and passerbys that they are a part of the program and a Philadelphia Preferred place to shop. The Preferred Marketing System also grants Philadelphia Preferred businesses rights to use the prestigious Philadelphia Preferred status and logo in other marketing or advertising efforts. Every 3 months results will be calculated to award the 3 top winners voted for in each category. Those businesses not in the top 3 are still awarded for their selection to Philadelphia Preferred.
Local: This campaign is a significant promotion to push SHOP LOCAL, encouraging consumers to go to their Philadelphia Preferred retailers/businesses rather than online or other shopping options.
